Don’t really have a price range so whatever floats your boat.
GF wants a ninja. I know nothing about them. Are they actually good or are they sort of a trendy brand that has name recognition but there are better values out there?

Vitamix.

Ninjas are way better than the generic blender you'd get at Walmart.
I hear the Vitamix is better, but I wouldn't want to pay that kind of price for a blender. Ninjas was definitely worth what I paid.

+1 for Vitamix. Robust enough you can literally throw in raw ingredients and cook soup in the container, rinse it out, then blend a perfect strawberry daiquiri.

Buy the cheapest vitamix. They last 10 times longer than a regular blender

There’s a reason why any chef or restaurant worth a damn uses Vitamix.
This is assuming you want the best.
Ninjas are a good mid tier though if you don’t want to drop Vitamix cash.

we have a blendtec and it's a beast

Ya that’s another good one.
Vitamix and Blendtec are like Le Creuset and Staub.

Certified reconditioned Vitamix are $50-$100 off MSRP. I have one that is going on 6 years and never had a problem.
the Ninja is plenty of blender for everyday use but Vitamix is on a whole 'nother level.

I have a ninja and it does well. If budget is no object get yourself one of those cruise ship blenders. Those dudes have to work hard.

She's smart, they're awesome. I have the kit with the big and small ones and all the different attachments. It's worth it.
Bonus, you can say "my ninja!" and not be racist.

Another recommendation for Vitamix.
We've had our Vitamix unit for about 25 years with not one single problem, and it is still crazy powerful, although power is adjustable.

Another vote for Vitamix. Got mine from Williams & Sonoma 4 years ago and it is a beast.
