The weather is cooling off here in Chicago and this weekend looks like a cold, wet night.

What do you prefer for a cold night? Pho or Ramen? Also, throw in a hangover as well...Pho vs. Ramen?

Which do you choose?

I prefer ramen, but either are good if made right!

I like pho better than ramen but Bun Bo Hue beats them both.

I wish we had a good ramen place on the north shore so I could see what the fuss is about.

get the dipping ramen or tsukemen next time, i prefer it to regular ramen. the broth is much tastier and richer.

The hangover ramen at Umami is great.
Nine Dragon at Highland and Lee is average. The broth is real cloudy. But they give you a huge amount of meat. The duck ramen is less $9 and they put two or three pieces of duck in the bowl.

On a cold night I'd much prefer ramen. Much more fatty. That or some Bo Kho. I prefer pho for hangovers.

Prefer Pho but enjoy ramen. Along with gumbo any of the three and I'm good.

I'm more of a Pho fan but my wife prefers Ramen. Our go to for Pho is Dang's or Bao. Nine Dragon Noodle House in the best Ramen in town and Tiger Sushi on Sherwood is pretty good.

We tried Umami's ramen once and it was so over the top spicy that it was nearly inedible. Not sure if we got it on a bad night but we can't justify giving them a second shot. I've heard great thing and was really disappointed.

Agree. Their Hot and Sour Soup, however, is the best I've ever had. Even beats Omi.

This is the brisket ramen from Kin. I really enjoyed it.

ETA : if the pho is right that stuff wins hands down but I admit that I eat ramen all the time because I love it too.
