You do get more bang from your buck w/ cryo. Also, using less hop mass = a bit more beer since hops suck up liquid.

Yeah, from what i've read cryo is more of a cost saving technique rather than imparting new flavors from the hops. You can maximize IBU contribution using less cryo hops, comparatively.

And while they do try, they aren't nearly as obnoxious as most brewers with their beer descriptions. Burial may be the worst with the narratives of their beers.

Interesting. So the brewery must be passing these cost savings off to the end consumer.

Their descriptions have always been pretentious AF, but the beer is good.

It’s been about three years now, can we take a break from overly hoppy beers for a second?

My sweet, innocent child. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. You must have forgotten the IBU Wars of the 2000s. It was a long battle, and many taste buds were lost. The East Coast alliance fell first as malt supply lines dried up. Once brave and respected hops such as Cascade and Centennial were slain on the battle field and cast aside. New warriors such as Citra and Mosaic battled their way to the top. It was ugly and it was bloody. I shudder to think about the 180 IBU bombs that fell upon the innocent.

Saw Ghost in Bham last week. Pretty sure that’s the first time I’d seen it but maybe I’m out of the loop.

Smelled some fresh Ekuanot hops the other day and they were absolutely gangbuster. Super citrus air with the notes of a spring breeze after a rain shower (to put it in Parish terms).

Maybe this crop of Ekuanot is money. Probably be a pretty good beer. I probably wouldn’t stand in line or pay that price for it. But I bet it’s probably good.

I am not objecting to the beer or Parish finally doing something new, they need to do something. I meant their continued onslaught of Turkey and the Wolf marketing. Waiting for them to say this beer taste like boi arse.

I didn’t think this was actually all that bad in relation to some of the posts they’ve had lately. But that’s just like my opinion man

More the accumulative effect of their shift in social media. I don't think it’s necessary for their sales, except maybe OJD was a great cause and poorly executed.
