Some of you guys know that I retired back in January (medical reasons, but also I am over 65 and can sponge off Social Security) and some know that we moved from Meridian to Clinton in March in a fairly dramatic downsizing of our house. We have been remodeling the kitchen for over two months and it is almost complete. I thought I'd show how we fixed up our smaller than Meridian kitchen.

All GE Profile Appliances no gas in our part of the neighborhood, Cherry Cabinets, Corian Countertops.

Fridge, Oven, Microwave

Still have the old Pub Table. The screen porch is on the other side of those windows.

Fridge wall down to sink. Pantry is left of fridge.

Opposite Fridge wall.

Freestanding Stainless Steel Vent is in Garage awaiting installation.

Hood space. Stone will show maybe 4 inches on either side of 36 inch wide hood.

Still clean convection oven.

Cook top gets hot.

Storage for pottery.

And downsized set of dishes

Neighbors

And Screen Porch

Might get it completed this week if cabinet guys come back to finish hood install.

Have not cooked since late February. Looking forward to some purple hull peas and cornbread with maybe a pork chop.

Can you put a chopping block/island, somewhere in the middle of that area behind the range/burners?

Beautiful, MD! Very nice choices.

I love the corner cabinet door ... no wasted space. (The pottery inside isn't bad, either.)

May you cook many delicious meals there in the years to come.

Chopping block, island

We talked about an island, but there isn't enough room to do it and move around it. Those are the problems of a small kitchen. One of our goals was to keep it uncluttered, which in a small kitchen is difficult.

So now you know exactly where we live - just angled across the water from court #1. I guess we actually live directly across from the pool, which is the next thing to the west of court #1.

OH NO! - You aren't that guy who groans out like he's struggling to pass a peach pit every time he hits the ball are you? Oh I hope not...

Not me. My wife is a 4.5 and plays a lot more than me. I think the women groan more than the guys

Get rid of the glass cooktop in favor of a gas range and that'd be my dream kitchen.
