I wish we had a fig tree, but I’d probably be disappointed that I can’t make fig preserves as good as my grandma’s. Just like I can’t match her corn maque choux, no matter how hard I try.

Anyway, will you have enough to dry some for future salads?

Wrap them in bacon and grill? You can do that with about anything else.

This is so good!
Half them pan sear and eat with pork or backstrap.

My figs are coming in too and I need to get out early enough to beat the birds or they destroy a lot of them, the dirty bastards.

I make fig preserves, dry some in my dehydrator, eat some of them right off the tree and I really need to get the fig cake recipe a friend of mine has that comes out sooooo good it isn't funny.

I picked almost 100 of them yesterday and had to toss about 30 that the birds got to.

I would love to dry some out for later. How do I do that? I have a cheapo dehydrator

Majority seem to be mocking birds. Benjamin pellet gun FTW.

I like this with blue cheese as well.

Agreed... Just some have an aversion to it.

If using bleu cheese, I would substitute aged balsamic for the honey!

I like to slit them open, stuff with blue or goat cheese, wrap with bacon and grill. Finish with a balsamic drizzle. Delicous.

I sometimes drizzle a balsamic glaze.

Save up your pennies, get a bottle of this, and you'll never eat balsamic glaze again!
