NOLA Brewing Going Downhill?

Is it just me or has this place gone downhill fast? It's either that or everyone else has stepped their game up marginally. McClure's puts out good BBQ though.
Years back this was the first brewery I would have chose going to. Now I'd choose these first: Urban South, Courtyard, Parleaux, and Brieux Carre.

If anything their beers are way better the last 6 months than in the past.
Taproom needs help, but I think it just feels corporate because it is always packed.
What type of beers do you want?

It's just you.
Their new IPA releases have been very good.
Their sour program is still good.
NOLA destroys these breweries

It's just you. Their small batch releases have been really good.

I have enjoyed Parleaux just because it's more laid back and less packed than NOLA... but Brieux Carre wasn't very good at all when I went, although that was over a year ago now.

I would go with this. They used to be the only brewery in town, now they have a lot of competition that is brewing great beer. NOLA makes great sours and has been putting out great IPA's lately, like Flippy Floppy and Spud Heavy, so it definitely isn't a quality thing.

Parleaux is probably my favorite brewery down here at the moment. Sucks it is across town.
Feel the same about Brieux. They do have a new brewer and supposedly have stepped their game up. The location just isn't appealing.

To be fair, TP had a lot going on that I don't think he ever expected..Knowing that he parted ways around that time too, maybe they all weren't on the same page anyway

Completely disagree. If anything, 2018 has been the best year so far for NOLA.
The small batch IPA's have all been solid and miles better than what most of the other local guys are producing. Plus they've been finding distro (unlike US' small batch stuff). Sour game is always on point and NOLA's taproom is the best in the city.

Strongly disagree. NOLA has stepped up their game in the last few months. They seem to be pumping out small batch IPAs every month, and all have been very good to great.

They have made changes and stepped their game up IMO

No. Pretty much the exact opposite

They aren't Parish. So they have a long way to go.

Urban South has like 3 on tap. Courtyard is a boiling hot atmosphere half the year. I like Nola better than them for those reasons.

I don't think so. I think their sour program is getting really good. And they are releasing some new NEIPAs which are good.

I was in NOlAB a couple months ago and was literally thinking to myself just how much better the beer was than the last time I was there (2+ years ago)

This was disappointing to me. I happened to be in the area during their 3 year anniversary and they had a multitude of beers available. I went 2 or 3 weeks later, and the only thing they had was a few of their staples i can find in any store. I couldn't even find lime cucumber gose there. They need to keep more variety on tap on a regular basis, IMO. They make good beer.

That and a broom and some clorox wouldn't hurt. Maybe even buy a few extra folding chairs?

It's you. In addition to the recent small batch releases, which were excellent (Moon Shoes rated top 50 out of 324 beers in Paste's blind IPA testing), Syncopation and Hoppyright Infringement are both great daily drinkers. You crazy.
