Ordered a burger last night. Local restaurant that grinds their own burger, makes their own bun, gourmet burger. Anyway, I always get something other than fries. Last night, it was green beans. fricking awesome.

Diabetics shouldn’t have sugary soft drinks. That’s a logical explanation though they should eat the Canes in moderation.
Of course my scenario above is the exception and not the rule.

The worst and most confusing of them all are the people that get a caniac combo at Cane’s or a double quarter pounder meal and get a DIET coke. That’s the one I don’t understand. Let’s shove 1300 plus calories in one sitting and finish it off with a diet soft drink
To a long-time Diet Coke drinker, drinking a regular Coke would be the same as a normal Coke drinker chugging a can of Steen’s Cane Syrup with your #3 Meal from McDonald’ s.

Wait, bourbon has calories? WTF???

Diet Coke is the wrong example. It has a life of its own separate from Coke. I’ve never liked Coke, but I can tolerate a Diet Coke.
And then there’s Diet Dew. If Pepsi co one day admits they spike it with something that makes you drink a gallon of it, I’d believe it. Best diet soft drink by a mile.

When I'm eating fast food or a burger I don't care about calories. All things in moderation. There's a reason why I only eat those about twice per month.

I rarely eat fries, or really white potatoes of any kind. I love good fries, but something in potatoes doesn’t love me back. Started a few years ago when I went to a lower carb diet.
No problems with sweet potatoes.

I add 2-3 hundred calories worth of bourbon to my large Coke Zero when I order a caniac so it all balances out.

are so fricking stupid you don't understand the concept of people ordering something they like independent of everything else?

Sometimes I’m not hungry enough for the fries.
Sometimes, I’m trying to save a couple dollars by not getting fries and a drink.
Some places have shitty fries.
However, what I will never understand are the following two people:
1. Women who want fries, but when offered fries by their SO, tell them they don’t want fries and then proceed to eat most of their SO’s fries.
2. Men who know their SO wants fries despite her protestations, only buy themselves fries, and then act all shocked and angered that their SO ate so many of his fries.
Women need to be less self-concious about what they want, more honest about what they want to others, and communicate those wants more readily.
Men need to stop being so clueless and see through the obvious pattern of behavior and plan accordingly. If you know she’s lying (fyi, she is), either buy her fries or don’t act so shocked and indignant when she eats yours.

I don't count calories, I just don't care for fries. I have been told that I am strange, but they are the same as white meat on a chicken to me. You can keep them both.

I'm good for about 5 fries, so I only mooch off of others.

I really don’t like fries that much -)

A life hack to get fresh fries from Mcdonald's is to ask for no salt.

If the salt isn't applied right out of the frier while the grease is still moist on the fries, then they suck.

does it seem like most sweet potato fries are more greasy than regular fries? Or am I just ordering sweet potato fries at the wrong places?

Sweet potato fries are very hit or miss when I order them somewhere. I've never made them myself to know if there's a proper way to cook them to make them better. I'd imagine the best way is like regular fries where you fry them twice.

Diabetics?
That's what I always thought. And I guess 1300 calories is better than 1700 calories.
