looking for a good Italian place for anniversary dinner spot. Love Irene's but been there multiple times so want to try something else. Vincent's? Anyone tried Avo? Any suggestions appreciated

Avo is great. Get the octopus if you go. I also like Marcello's. I had the worst lamb I've ever had at Josephine Estelle my first visit so I haven't been back.

Vincent's on St. Charles over Italian Barrel. Love Marcello in Lafayette, have not been to NOLA location.

Really enjoyed Italian Barrel and it's a good place for an anniversary meal. I've always enjoyed Vincent's.

Both locations are solid.
I'd vote to Domenica. It's probably my favorite restaurant in the city, but I don't know if anything has changed since the Besh/Shaya fallout.
