Heading up to Nashville with my wife next week for 4 days and looking for some good food and drink recommendations. We will be staying at The Thompson in the Gulch District but we will have a car, so getting around won’t be a problem.

We have never been and would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Thanks. We have reservations at Husk (know it’s good from Charleston), Tansuo, and Etch. Looking for one more dinner spot to fill out the trip and some good lunch recommendations or places to grab a drink and listen to some live music.

No. Do not go to husk. I was just there a few weeks ago and it was extremely disappointing. I was really looking forward to it, and could not have been less impressed.

Butcher and Bee was great. Check it out.

Second Peg Leg Porkers. Went there for lunch.

If you want to go to Biscuit Love get there early or be prepared to wait in line.

If you're looking for something nicer, Rolf and Daughters.

Patterson House for a speakeasy cocktail vibe, if y'all are into that kind of thing.

Just spent 4 days there, stayed at a friend's place on Music Row.

Kayne Prime was awesome.

The LA Jackson bar on top of Thompson is cool, but really expensive.

Martin's BBQ was good. Get the wings.

For bars, we hit up a bunch of stuff around Broadway. FGL was fun one night. Did Crazy Town and Valentine.

I don't like country music at all, which isn't ideal in Nashville. Most of the bars multi-level, so I was lucky to find a few places with non-country music.

I went to Husk this time of year in 2016, was not prepared to eat eat what was available. Menu was all kale, root vegetables, eggs and beans. Husband ordered steak and it was sliced already as a portion not an entire steak. I was not impressed at all because of the strict usage of available items from an imaginary backyard garden.

Always a good choice on a cold night. Just ate there the other evening when it was super cold and it warmed me to the bone.

Unless you are just a glutton for punishment do not let anyone talk you into Prince's Hot Chicken or any one else's hot chicken for that matter.

I don't understand how any one finds that crap appetizing.

I like spicy food but stuff is nothing but heat and no flavor.

Definitely hit up Patterson House for a couple hours of very unique cocktails, vibe and great bartenders/mixologists! It is a very laid back easy going place for great conversation.

Peg Leg is a good bet. The Honeysuckle Local and Social has some great unique dishes. Blend Bar & Cigar is a really cool cigar bar right in the middle of a lot of great eat and drink places with a nice environment.
