Brasserie à Vapeur's Saison de Pipaix is one of my favorite shelf turds. They're a tiny brewery in Wallonia that puts out some amazing beers.

Blackberry Farms doesn't get a lot of praise outside the saison/farmhouse crowd, but man, they make some awesome stuff.

And for some reason Fantome shelf turds in Louisiana. I'm not sure why y'all let that happen, but I appreciate it as I can count on picking some up every time I'm down there.

Actually, i was getting breweries mixed up in my head.

I was thinking of Flying Heart in Shreveport/Bossier. They had bad beers. Well, a couple were drinkable but still mediocre at best. I haven't made it to Monroe. My apologies.

Port/Lost Abbey in San Marcos, CA. I think they get lost in all the other California breweries, but I've never had a bad beer from them.

That's because you're always rolling the dice with their beers. Some are great and others taste like a $20 bottle of liquid band aids.

Go to Flying Tiger, really. They have some excellent offerings in the tap room.

I had some B52 in Katy this week. Solid stuff. Was told that Whole Foods head brewer in Houston just left to join B52.

Beers can be hit or miss but such is the way of sour beers. the good ones are amazing and in reality the not so good ones are well made, just not my thing sometimes. They never do the same beer twice.

They are pretty well known around here. I agree that their beers are excellent.

I've only had the Raspberry Muse. I want to try a lot more from them. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Treehouse has some decent stuff. They’re flying under the radar.

Destihl Brewery in Normal, Illinois does some world class stuff

Maybe it's just what we get down here, but my experience with Destihl has run from thoroughly unimpressed to drainpour.

They are world class and an og sour company. Several of their beers are on the top 100 whales in America list, would never say they are under the radar. Cool fact one of tin roofs new brewers is from lost abbey.
