superior grill mid city

vs.

pappasitos

el tiempo cantina

lupe tortilla

could superior at least make their picture of overcooked fajitas look more appealing on their instagram page? raw onions and burnt flank steak.

my least favorite of the houston restaurants is lupe tortilla. i find their fajitas are made way too thin and i don't care for their lime marinade in their beef. but all three look considerably more appealing that what we are offered in baton rouge.

i can't believe whoever runs the ig page for superior thought that entree looks appetizing.

The raw onions and peppers are more egregious than the charcoaled beef, imo

It's because it was cooked 2 days prior to that picture

The Fajitas pictured at Superior Grill cost $30. By far the biggest rip off in the city.

People are attracted to Superior BR for the social scene. The food is awful and incredibly over priced. Fajitas and a Margarita will run you close to $50

I can't speak on the midcity location because I don't go there but the highland location definitely isn't 'awful' by any means

It is expensive yes

Fantastic Tex Mex, especially perfectly seasoned and cooked steak fajitas.

Pleasant.

Overrated, IMO. Don't understand the huge love from lots of people on that one.

I view this place like LaFonda's in Lafayette. Great spot to get a rita buzz on, then just order something serviceable on the menu to soak it all up.

I’ve always wondered why everyone loved Superior. I’m convinced the margaritas get people so drunk that they think the food is amazing. It isn’t awful but it certainly isn’t very good and most definitely not for the insane price they charge. And what’s up with their “tortilla soup?” It’s vegetable soup.

As to that picture, I can’t believe someone gave that the thumbs up to represent their food. Their fajitas aren’t very good but they are definitely better than that.

Nothing says you're in the right spot for Mexican food like a lemon wedge on your fajita platter.

Normally they don't even give you multiple slices of green bell pepper. Normally its just one circle. The bell pepper to onion ratio is skewed the heavily the wrong way.
