I have noticed it is being ordered more and more frequently.

Anyone notice an uptick?

Why might it be?

A lot of the current fad diets don't allow for drinking 0-cal sodas, and this is their alternative.

Yes because Tonic has a lot of sugar and calories.

My tonic consumption goes way up during the hot summer months, on a related note my gin consumption also goes way during the same time frame.

Just wait until Topo Chico starts getting distributed nationally.

All my friends drink it. I'm not a fizzy water person though.

How can carbonated water be "delicious?" Not flaming, I just never could get into it as a solo beverage. I use it in cocktails over tonic, but I wouldn't call it delicious.

I also never feel as refreshed from soda water as I do from regular water.

I'm sipping a 750 ml san pellegrino right now.

I really enjoy the sparkling stuff with meals. Helps with digestion and reflux.

I drink a lot of flavored sparkling water. It scratches the itch of having a can of soda pretty darn well, but it's water. I still have a diet soda here and there but flavored carbonated water helps me drink less of those and get more water in.

My favorite is topo Chico but it's expensive as hell. Otherwise my favorite are the huge $2 bottles at whole foods.
