I'd bet the one in Lafayette has to be up there too. Blows my mind to drive by that place on a random Tuesday evening and there's 40 people waiting for a table outside.

I'm being serious. I do know plenty about the city. I think some answers in here are really good. But, there is know doubt that they have hundreds of orders every single day.

They do well, and Lord knows they are packed for breakfast, but they close at 2:30 p.m. and I'm pretty sure they don't sell alcohol.
I'll echo the votes for Superior, the Chimes and Ruth's Chris. Those places are always packed.

I bet post Covid that Velvet Cactus has to be up there.
It was always busy, but then they converted the whole parking lot to seating that you have to order food with the App. So now they are selling a lot of food and drinks and not having to pay wait staff.
And then they did a Christmas village set up in one area with private dining under dome tents and it was booked solid. Now they have a Mardi Gras set up

I'd think a place like Commander's Palace would be very high on the list of gross sales. Seating capacity has to be among the largest in the city and their average ticket price is significantly higher than a place like 5 happiness. And they sell a lot more alcohol than any Chinese restaurant in the city. At their peak pre-COVID they employed over 200 people. Trust me, their gross sales probably dwarf 5 happiness. At least pre-COVID they had to.

I go to Copper Onion alot in SLC to get their Carbonara with a raw egg on top. With all that pecoreno romano and rendered beef cheek its delicious.

I don’t know that I can make a good guess for Lafayette, but Don’s Seafood Hut was (pre-Covid) packed nightly, with a decent amount of seating. A good lunch crowd, too, a happy hour, and open 7 days a week. No idea how it compares to Ruth’s Chris, though, which isn’t open for lunch, but the prices might make up for that. Maybe even Deano’s, 7 days a week, lunch and dinner, large capacity, full bar.
Obviously, I don’t know.

Sammies in Austin is quickly getting into that category. It’s always packed and not cheap. Same with Aba. Neither has the longevity though to say if they can sustain that for long.

I have walked in plenty of times into Ruffinos with no wait. I have never done that with Chimes.
