I have asked and they said no re: Everclear.

I still get rocks there.. I hate frozen foods and drinks for some reason. Rocks top shelf is my favorite, but I’ve had the regular and it’s honestly just as good.

Good to know. Have always wondered if it was true.

It led to some home margarita experiments that ended a bit poorly

They make the top shelf right in front of you, but TBH my memory is garbage. I know Gran Gala or one of those cointreau brands goes into it, and that's as far as I got. Obv lime and tequila.

This has to be a joke- La Carretta is absolute garbage compared to Superior. Thank God Superior opened a place on highland because when it did, we didn’t have to go to La Carretta anymore. Not saying Superior is the be-all end-all, but it is infinitely better than LC. Hell, Casa Maria and Mi Padre is better than LC.

Also, why are the life long Baton Rougieans so closeted in their opinions of good texmex? Their beloved places as below sub par
about on par with how N.La thinks Johnny’s pizza is anything other than a garbage pie at best

you won’t find me defending BR dining options...shite I live in Hammond and it has better choices. I’ve never been to la carretta in BR but the one in Hammond is excellent and a far cry from the cheese and bean places usually mentioned

Man how did I miss this hilarious post

The visitor's menu is generally quite good.

Some of the most overrated, overpriced food in Baton Rouge IMO.

Back in the day Ninfa's was good. I am talking way back when they had those dusty arse pinatas hanging from the ceiling and Nando was running the joint.

I think everyone can agree that Serrano's had the worst Tex Mex food of any restaurant in town when they were around. Awesome spot for football games though, RIP.

Casa Maria is straight garbage. Mi Padre's is only slightly better. But La Carreta beats the brakes off both of those two.

I am also a fan of La Carreta. They have solid fajitas for pretty cheap and a variety of good tacos. Happy Hour margs are $5 also
