Passed the one on Veterans at about 1:15 today and the line was snaked a half block down Cleary. The food is good but not great. Is it the Christian thing?

Good food, fast-moving line, fantastic service... Seems obvious to me. It's not the best chicken you'll ever eat, but it's fast food, so compare the company to others in that classification. They also don't stack their restaurants on top of each other like McDonald's or BK.

TLDR- Unfortunately Americans eat a lot of fast food, and CFA is the best or one of the best companies in that category.

They value your time unlike most fast food chains.

This has already been discussed on the OT a 100 times. The reason people are willing to wait is the food is good and the service is awesome. They actually treat you like of customer instead of shitting in your food like all the other fast food restaurants. /thread

I really don't eat much/any fast food but the few times I've had chic-fil-a they've really impressed me.

The chicken sandwich came out looking like what was pictured on the menu and was very tasty.

When CFA opened on college, I have always been impressed by how awesome and efficient they were. I never thought they could improve this with the bar already set so high, but in the last year, its even more impressive.

And still moved faster than the 5 car line at **insert any fast food restaurant here**.

This, but also a line wrapped around the restaurant still moves through faster than a 4 car line at Popeyes, McDonalds, etc.

In fact, when it gets busy, they usually send someone outside with an iPad to take your order and payment early to speed things up.

Imagine that!

Great customer service
Food is pretty decent
Not sure why it is a surprise when all other fast-food restaurant set the bar so low

Y’all over think fast food. I just want to pay and have you give me my food. It almost works out just fine.

Went to a CFA in Tulsa once. I ordered a lemonade with my meal but they were in the process of making a new batch so I had to pull up. I waited for maybe 2 mins and a girl comes out with my drink apologizing and gave me a free combo meal voucher.

Meanwhile at BK, people are pulling up for 10 mins despite being the only patron at the restaurant.

it's pretty much the only fast food i'll get with any regularity.

fathom the power of their brand...

if you tell a coworker you went to McD's or Burger King for lunch, you'll get a scowl and a "Gross."

if you tell a coworker you went to CFA, you get a "omg I have to go get some now."

1. Kids love it.
2. It's summer, so kids are out of school.
3. Parents love it because service is relatively quick, and for fast food it's better food than most.

That about covers it. I think the Jesus thing isn't that important to most people.

Good chicken nuggets + waffle fries + lemonade + milk shakes. This qualifies as fore play in the obese belt of the south. I forgot to mention the sauce.... Take your pick, they're all pretty good.

Folks in Portland tried to protest it. Said nobody would go. Lines were three blocks long for 3 months after they opened. Cars are still lined up out of the parking lot and into the street, even today.

I tell you, if I had to do hiring for a right out of college type job and I saw an applicant worked at Chick-fil-A for a significant amount of time, I would be interested in him or her. I've always been impressed with the people that work there. They have good attitudes, work hard and are clean cut. I can't imagine there would ever be viral videos of Chick-fil-A employees stirring lemonade with their bare hands or licking buns. I've always wondered what their secret was for finding employees. Do they pay better than other fast food places? Do they recruit kids from churches? Is the fact they're closed on Sunday help, since kids know they'll get a day off?

This. Not so much recruit, but kids active in church apply there in droves.
