Respect to the BO fellas. Biggest no brainer ever. Would like to know who came in second, though.

Nah...he sold out yesterday before the parties.

I know he's no longer a part of it, but CCBBQ was sold out of almost everything by noon.

How did I "go down" or "sell out" if I wasn't competing? You must be one of those BBQ shite talkers. #dimeadozen #letsseeyousmokeanything #fedmyfamilyforsixyearsbbqing #smokethischump

had the frito pie from BO, it was good. TBH looking at their menu it looked more like they were there to have fun then to win the thing.

You're not just judged on your menu. Teams submit butts, ribs, whole hogs, etc. they don't necessarily sell these items to the public.

bO was smoking all night.

You would have been more impressed with their full shitter.

That part is a bit frustrating. Fox Bros had best ribs, apparently. Well that's great, I'd never know because he didn't sell ribs at the booth.

Teams like MOP had creative, different menus (that doner kabob was killer).

Aporkalypse booth was quite disappointing. Multiple grand champ winner and they're selling nachos, hot dogs, and hamburgers.

I tried cracklin from 6 different booths. Puerco Rico was quite strong, but I think my homemade Danny & Bonnie style stuff can compete.

What are your thoughts on the relocation to the lakefront?

City park definitely was more picturesque, but the new space obviously allowed teams to go bigger. You've gotta imagine that the festival is just going to continue to grow out there. Overall great day out there.

Next year just gonna Uber my arse so I don't have to deal with parking.

Agreed. Maybe it's because I got out a little bit later this year, but I felt like whole hog was more readily available in the past. I killed myself trying to find ribs or whole hog yesterday. And for the most part came up empty.

Aporkalypse now had no pork items as of like 3 pm. Kind of lame, but then again it's easy to say from the other side of the booth.

It's the "best side" award...they had this corn on the cob that looked legit. Didn't get to try it but I think that's what won best side.

The Blue Oak guys were energetic and having a good time when we stopped by...the brisket tamale was really damn good!
