Compared to other fast food, it's a great deal. Doesn't really make sense to compare it to a grocery store lunch

I like Church's fries. Their $4 box is money. You got the two pieces of mixed chicken, the two sides of your choice, the buttery biscuit, all for 4 bucks. You can't beat that for 4 bucks.

I don't eat it anymore but most of the boards problem with canes stems from comparing it to how it use to be before they expanded.
For $5 the box was so much food one could hardly finish it, the tenders themselves use to be easily twice the size of the one you have pictured and I believe you use to get 2 more than you currently do.

I haven't been to the one here in town in a long time.
Their service is very good, lemonade is top notch, I like the sauce...... but the tenders are just meh. At least the one here in town. Very bland.
If you want tenders, the ones from Popeyes are amazing.

Just comparing it to other drive up fast food places. I mean that's probably about the price of a chicken sandwich meal at McDonald's right?
It's definitely the same or less than a tenders or chicken meal at Popeyes and has more food that is still fairly good quality.

Its probably around the same as the most expensive meals at mcdonalds.
I agree about Popeyes. Place is probably the most expensive of the fast food places.

If fast food is your only option, canes is far better than most, including Zaxbys. Their employees are far more competent than the other fast food options too.

I'm a fan, but things did get very bad there for a while. I believe they were shopping suppliers for continued expansion. At least that is what I heard whispers of. I've noticed a marked improvement since I took this picture, but I went on a 6 month hiatus because of this kind of crap.

McDonalds has a dollar/value menu with double cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. As does Wendy's. And Taco Bell. If you're ordering a $7 meal at McDonalds and trying to get a cheap meal, you're doing it wrong. Even the two-cheeseburger meal at McDonalds (which includes fries and a drink) comes out to $5 even at the location by my house.
All chicken places are expensive. Canes is not alone in that. The soggy fries, bland chicken, and mayo/ketchup mixed together only makes the price harder to swallow. Add on that the shrinking in size and upping in price took place over a very short span of time in a town where everyone remembers what it used to be, it is expected that people are butthurt over it.
