Have IPA beers become a fad?

Just wondering because it seems to be all the craze in beer drinking circles and I don't understand why. I haven't found one enjoyable drinking IPA.

Yeah, I don't like it one bit. Like Red Sox "fans" post 2004. Very much annoying. Everyone now wants an IPA.

Disagree. Palate wrecker and stone ruination taste different. Racer 5 ipa is a unique taste too.

All the fellow mavens I know are genuinely passionate about the style, and most would say it is their favorite. I don't see that changing.

The great ones can be very flavorful and refreshing. You have to have a certain tolerance for bitterness, especially when just getting into the style. Although, the newer hop varieties seems to be able to offer all the great aromatic qualities with lesser bitterness.

Yeah I don't see that changing. But I do see other styles getting more popular as new craft beer drinkers are born. And as that happens "fellow mavens" will become dinosaurs just like Boston Lager in the article S14 linked.
I like a few styles of beer but IPAs would be my choice if I could only drink one for the rest of my life.

Best way to get a lot of Volume purchasing from me is to can a session IPA in a case or brewer's dozen pack.
