Have a really special occasion coming up and I would possibly like to buy a 16-18 oz steak and serve slices as an appetizer, but I would like some real feedback before I spend $170 plus shipping.

I had a 1/2 inch thick 'Select' grade New York Strip steak from Walmart once

I'm not gonna lie. It was a little tough

That seems cheap for an A5 at that weight. Where you getting this from?

I find if you grind the 100-Day Dry Aged Prime A5 Miyazaki Ribeye it’s perfect for tacos on Taco Tuesday. Just sayin….in all seriousness, give it a shot if it’s something you want to try. Why not?

Prices seems pretty good, go for it. I have some non aged a5 bms12 steaks and it’s amazing.

That's some very serious dry aging, and not something I would suggest for the average person. What's the longest dry aged steak you've ever had?

I read that 100 days of aging on something with that much fat would be similar to 35-40 days of aging on a prime black angus or 20-25 days on a lesser grade. The more fat, the more aging needed.

Make it with two of the Great Value taco seasoning pouches, but only ONE pouch of water.

I’m not a dry aged fan, so I avoid those. However, if you have a chance to get some A5, I highly recommend it. It will change your life.

Easily the most decadent meal I’ve ever eaten. It was so rich that I only ate a quarter of what I normally would have.

Too fatty. You’ll start feeling sick after 4 ounces of that.

But it is delicious.

Filet mignon/tenderloin is really the only A5 cut i truly enjoy. Since it’s an inherently lean cut, the A5 marbling isn’t overbearing and i can eat a normal size serving.

Anything else (ribeye, New York), although delicious, i can only eat a few ounces.

Nah, something about spending $175 for a steak and/or 15 minutes of eating euphoria just doesn't sit well with me.

Don't plan on eating a whole steak of it. One steak can easily feed 4+ people. You probably think you can eat the whole thing, but after a few bites of something that rich you're gonna be good
