I always drink medium / dark roast black coffee. It tastes so bland…even a couple of months removed from Covid.

This happen to anyone else? Does it come back?

Some people report it comes back after a while. Others report it took months. I’m hearing some report it hasn’t come back yet at all.

Mrs Sun God took two months almost on the nose before she liked coffee again.

Took me about a week.

Weird thing is….I can taste sweet and spicy stuff a lot better.

For some reason, a flavor as bold as coffee isn’t registering.

Might be a good time to switch to espresso.

Same here. Sweet, hot, and sour are what I can taste.

I know someone who had it almost a year ago and still can't taste. Unrelated, but my friend had it and when his smell started to come back he said everything smelled like cigarettes. He accused his wife of taking up smoking.

Had covid in December. Strong odors such as gasoline and coffee brewing still doesn't smell right. Other odors are normal. Same with my taste. I've read about said experience and learned of a term "covid long haul". It's crazy how I'm almost 9 months removed and still experiencing this.

Not gonna lie, this shite freaks me out. I’ve considered vaccination for this very reason.

I used a steroid nasal spray like Flonase based on recommendation and it helped get it back within days.

My coworker is a year out and still can't smell right and had a mild case.

Coffee was one of the first things I tried to smell yesterday before I got tested. So weird not being able to smell something so strong.

Exact same here. Spicy and sweet were the two only things I could taste for a while.

I'm ~6 weeks out from my Covid infection and still I'd say taste is only like 60% or so. It sucks when I'm trying to cook especially. I have just been seasoning based on memory vs. taste.
