Marcello's Wine Market Café.. imho it's apparently the best kept secret in Lafayette, because lunch time never seems crowded.

Looking forward to the BR location opening soon.

Assuntas just outside Slidell. It gets overshadowed by Sal and Judy's, but I've always had fantastic meals there.

I was looking at that but made the mistake of crawfish etoufee.

It was straight up Cream of Mushroom soup with a few tails.

The fried okra and black eyed peas were good.

I have never once had any desire to go to Don Jose. I just cannot imagine a restaurant in that space being of quality except in a "trashy good" kinda way like the old Chinese place was.

I went once and thought it was solid. I walked in expecting it to look like Great Wall with Mexican pictures on the wall, but they put a good bit of money into renovating it. I will probably go back, but I sure wish they had some sort of outdoor area.

Damn, that's depressing. Know which one? I was thinking about trying to find him to see if he would cater a party.

It has been pretty highly talked about here, so you should change your stance :)

Plus, no offense, but you go to bat for some really shitty restaurants on here

Not only is your assertion incendiary, it’s also uncalled for.

What the hell? You need to apologize to Paul immediately. He may not be a fan of Texarkana but his taste in restaurants is otherwise impeccable.

Ikura Sushi.
Their food is very good as is the service. They also give you a nice little gift for your birthday and extras with your to go orders. The problem is no one is ever in the restaurant itself. The last few times we've been there was only one other party there.
