I took my 17lb turkey out of the deep freezer last night around 8pm and accidentally left it overnight on the counter until 7am this morning. House is around 68°. It’s still wrapped in original packaging fwiw.
Toss it or cook?

Cook it.
It's probably still mostly frozen.

Totally agree with this. If in doubt, cut it out of the packaging and try to put your hand inside the cavity. Bet it's still solid as a rock frozen and the bird is still good to go.

Cook it. I would not think twice about it.

You really can’t tell if your own turkey is still frozen or not?

99.9% sure it’s still good. How you F it up from here is in you. Lol

Of course I can. I’m perplexed as to why nobody seems to understand how food thaws from the outside in. The inside of the turkey is still frozen.
It’s the 1/4” exterior of the meat and skin that I’m worried about being a good environment for bacterial growth.

The good news is that part on the outside will also cook the fastest and remain above 165 the longest. You'll be fine.

Should be fine.

My cousin did that one time and died.

I'd be concerned if it was already pretty thawed, then left out. a 17lber is most likely fine.

Similar problem here - garage freezer crapped out sometime over the last several days. Don't know when, but around the time we moved the turkey from freezer to fridge on Friday (bird was frozen).
Thanks to Ida we had little in it, other than sides the wife made and froze, ready to cook (no pics of wife, but here's a pic of the seafood and sweet potato casseroles that bit the dust).
Wife said they were just "cool" so she didn't risk it - especially with seafood ($40 worth of crabmeat and crawfish - bummer).

Thats 10000% still fine to eat.
Edit: But I would definitely cook it before eating though.

When I get frozen turkey I always let it defrost on the counter. I have never had any issues with this.

I still do this to this day.

Serve that part to your least favorite relative.
