The soon to be reopened in their brand new place, The Village Market & Deli on Perkins has excellent fried chicken.

Seven days a week - 10:30 - 9:30 is what the menu says, but I swear I thought they closed around 8 pm.

+1
"can I take your frikkin order?"
Have to give the Stockyard a try again soon. Heard that the change in ownership had lessened the quality somewhat. I didn't mention Seabell, as not everyone has access, but for those that remember eating her cooking at the Silver Moon, that is the best around, though I usually opt for her fried pork chops instead.

I'll tell you this. Coming home from fishing we stopped at Rocky and Carlos and my wife ordered the fried chicken. I've never had it there but it was incredibly good. If your in Chalmette.

If you're in Port Allen, Pick a Pack has good crisp, crunchy fried chicken.

Hopefully not bouncing checks like he used to.

Does Baton Rouge have any good homemade fried chicken anywhere? Not including Popeyes, KFC, etc.

I used to date a girl in Watson, and we'd always get Lindas when we were hungover....nothing like Lindas and chocolate shake to make you feel better

Believe it or not...walmart fried chicken
NOT.
The last time I got their fried chicken it had been under the heat lamp so long the crust was actually hollow. The meat under the crust had shriveled away. Disgusting.
