He's been in the fried chicken/soul food cooking business for over 30 years.

Get me his recipe for fried chickens.

It's finger lickin' chicken.

Better than Ms. Peachez.

For awesome fried chicken you will have to drive to "the outskirts of Baton Rouge" to AMITE..... yep.....they got the best at Ardillo's restaurant right off the interstate. The fried chicken special: 1/2 chicken, the best fries, salad with Ardillo's italian dressing....nutin better. Open for lunch only, M-F.

I used to have a job that required me to go into kitchens all over the greater Baton Rouge area. This is one of the nastiest I have ever been in (including many in sketchy parts of town that look really bad from the outside). I will NEVER eat there again (and this was 4 years ago and I have not broken that vow) and it is 5 minutes from my house and my kids used to love it.

Was it just dirty or did it have a pest problem?

I used to like Picadilly's fried chicken, but I haven't had it in a while. Anyone know if it's still good?

Had it last week actually and was very good. The breast was surprisingly tender and juicy.

That's interesting (and disturbing) to know. I noticed after they had the fire and remodel a couple of years ago that their floor/surfaces in the kitchen looked cleaner than I expected. This was just sitting waiting for take out, though, I certainly could not see the whole kitchen. Maybe the grime just had not had time to build up.

Argh. Not good! I worry about cross-contamination in chicken places anyway.

Microwave Walmart fried chicken over some paper towels. You will never try it again due to excessive grease rendering.
