Does Baton Rouge have any good homemade fried chicken anywhere? Not including Popeyes, KFC, etc.

I used to like Picadilly's fried chicken, but I haven't had it in a while. Anyone know if it's still good?

My favorite currently is Linda's in Watson, but it's a long drive.

Someone needs to open a fried chicken place near campus. They would make a killing.

I like Zea's fried chicken (it's only offered on their lunch menu), and it comes with red beans and rice and a link of sausage. Pretty damn tasty!

IMO Dempsey's has the best fry kitchen in town. Monday special is a fried boneless chicken breast with red beans and rice.

Good list, although I only know Linda's through friends that live in the LP. I also like the chicken fried chicken (boneless breast) at Chelseas.

You talking about the place on airline just east of the old bridge? Can't believe that place passes health inspection.

Yes, absolutely delicious.

If you see BR City Police, EBR Sheriff and State Troopers eating there, you know it's good.
