We don't have a Popeye's in the town where I live, but I was in Fort Worth earlier this afternoon and decided to give it a go.

I ordered my usual: Two piece white, spicy with Cajun Rice and unsweet tea with packet of Sweet and Low sweetener.

I was told they no longer have Cajun Rice. Bummer. I have never liked their red beans and rice so I got fries (not bad).

I was told they don't carry Sweet and Low or any other sweetener. They offered sweet tea (I can't take sugar - I'm pre-diabetic). I took the unsweet tea as is.

The didn't take Amex. I used my bank debit card.

The spicy wasn't!

It's not the old Popeye's.

Guess you've given me an excuse to eat at Popeyes - to see if things are as bad as you say they are.

Popeye's is tasty, but always gives me both diarrhea and horrible stomach aches.

the only acceptable order at Popeyes is spicy dark meat, red beans/rice, a biscuit and unsweet tea. Had you ordered correctly you’d have been just fine

But the biggest screw up was when they stopped the "all you can eat buffet" in Lafayette last year.

I immediately discount your opinion and frankly, I question your entire upbringing

Popeyes is broken. It's a shining example of a business with a great product that is horribly managed. I've given up on Popeyes after too many fricked up orders, shitty execution and horrendous service.

Everybody on the Food board for sure. Doesn’t bother me a bit.

OP….white meat? I guess someone had to order it. That said, about the only chicken breast I’ll eat is a deep fried one. Popeyes serves some fine chicken and sides.

If you’re pre-diabetic carry your own sweetener. And don’t get fries at Popeyes.

Thats what my 11-year-old gets.

I used to get a 6-piece family special with 2 medium sides and 2 biscuits just for me.
