re: Favorite Boudin

My favorites are Bourque’s and Janise’s. I find Billy’s and Best Stop to be somewhat overrated.

Agree about Best Stop being overrated. Billy’s...one of my favorites for boudin, but I ain’t got the time to wait in that absurd line that the Scott location always has. Not when I can get Menard’s or Nunu’s right down the road. The Opelousas location isn’t like that, so I’ll stop at Billy’s when visiting that town.

I order about 20lbs at a time and usually alternate between Billy’s, Best Stop, and NuNu’s. Just received an order of smoked boudin from NuNu’s and it is really good. Looks like I’m going to have to start only ordering during the cooler months though because overnight is getting outrageous. During the summer the shipping would run over $100 for 20lbs but 2nd day during the cooler months only runs about $25.

In the Scott area, I'd say Billy's is best followed by NuNu's, Best Stop, then Don's.

In the Baton Rouge area, Benoit's in Addis is my favorite.
