Not sure what my favorite is, but the best-smelling stalls are usually the ones cooking up some greasy onions and peppers with sausage.

Onion mums and hand-dipped corndogs are hard to beat.
But I loved the roated corn and bucket of cookies at the Minnesota State Fair. Wish more fairs would do different foods.

Haven't been to the Mississippi State Fair in more than a few years, but the last couple of times we went, several vendors had a grilled double bone porkchop on a stick that was so good. I still think about it from time to time.

I like the chicken on the stick and I love trying other peoples friend catfish.

Hands down-------the Cochon de' Lait Fest in Mansura, La.
On Sunday when the wife and I pick up the dinner plates we paid for that include pulled pork that was roasted open air by pecan wood, dirty rice and a side vegetable.
As for quick stuff, I like the roasted corn with a light slather of butter and some salt.

The Mississippi State Fair is the closest to us. We don’t go every year, but when we do, I always get a corndog slathered with mustard. I usually get an ear of roasted corn too.

Pork tenderloin sandwich. They should hook up with the south and serve them with a big bowl of dipping gravy and it would be perfection.
3:1 meat to bun area is about right for one.
