It’s the local Mexican restaurant for us. We split the chicken fajitas and add a cheese dip + 1 drink for about $25 (including tip). Will sometimes have some rice and chicken leftover.

McDonald’s 20 piece chicken nuggets and 2 double cheeseburgers is like $9. No drink but I mostly drink water anyways. This is more than enough for a meal

That’s a meal for a fat arse

If you aren’t grabbing a $1.50 foot long and soda from Costco

SAMS pizza slice and drink combo or SAMS hot dog and drink combo for $2.

Fed my family of 5 for $11 yesterday while picking up some stuff we needed at the house.

cheap wings special

O'Charleys in Biloxi used to do ten-cent wing night on Wednesdays with $1 drafts.
That was the best deal ever for a bunch of broke-arse Airmen at Keesler AFB.
Now places act like chicken wings are prime rib...

1. Hole-in-the-wall Chinese
2. Hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex

Lunch specials are cheap

Does not constitute an endorsement

We ate at Izzos this past weekend and I think I can say that Chipotle is better.

I like Izzo's variety of choices but I have always found that the flavor is muted or just off in most of their toppings.

That coupled with the terrible service I received (talking from tortilla selection to check out) was awful.

The correct answer is the cravings box from taco bell. 8.99 for way too much food (1500 cals) is about the best you can get these days.

Just speaking for the Charleston area, but every Mexican place I’ve been to has lunch specials (including salsa and chips) where two people can eat for $20 including tip.

Felipe’s around New Orleans is so so much better than both.

I use a Popeyes coupon for 3 piece tenders and side for less than $5. You can get coupon codes off their website. About Half the price of Canes right now.

Back in the 90’s my job had me traveling every day by car which was great. Burger King was always doing 99 Cent Whoppers. Was my go to stop for 2 whoppers and fries for 3 and change. Have always had just water. I don’t think BK ever has this deal anymore.

There's a Mexican Joint near me where you can get an 8" roast beef po-boy with fries for under $10. It's pretty damn good too.

I was going to start a thread about this but it is pretty closely related to this topic.

When in the hell did restaurants turn into banks?

I ordered a pizza for carry out Sunday and was hit with a one dollar carry out fee. WTF? I order carry out because I do not want to pay a five dollar delivery fee. Then last night I ate out at a Mexican restaurant and noticed on my check there was like a three percent non-cash fee added on since I paid with a debit card. What is with all of these hidden fees and extra charges? Is Wells-Fargo taking over the restaurant industry?

Blue Store chicken. Per piece is about $1 each for any segment or tender. Can feed a lot for a little.
