Any help would be appreciated. Going 65 to 85 through Montgomery, Atlanta, etc.

When you get to Charlotte, Google the "Smoke Pit." It's actually in Concorde, but not far away. Top 5 barbecue all time for me. They close when they run out, so I recommend a lunchtime visit.

I just made this drive but didn't make any stops. If you end up close to Maggie valley, go to Joey's Pancakes.

I just drove from Asheville to Mandeville. I called ahead and the popeyes along the route from Atlanta down to Mobile were all out by 12;30pm.

You’d probably get better answers if you posted this on the correct board

Apparently some superstar chef just opened an awesome bbq place in Charlotte. We tried to go there but they didn't have lunch service yet. Bruco can confirm the guy and place. I can't remember.

But mac's speed shop is delicious and close to a bunch of awesome breweries.

Traffic sucks. Especially after 9pm when construction crews start up north of ATL and at 3 different points between Charlotte.

Exit 111 in Georgia. Umaido for awesome ramen. Two traffic lights off I-85. Spicy miso ramen with chicken nuggets on the side. Then another plate of noodles to drop in the leftover broth for $3. Orion lager to wash it down.

For the love if God.....Varsity hot dogs are soooo overrated. Stay away.

I might have to check that out. That location is a little ahead of the gentrification curve though .

Patak Meats in Austell, GA for European sausages, meats, bacon. Take a cooler. Saw it referenced on here a few years ago. It’s great quality and cheap.
