Dat Dog has just increased their hot dog prices by 25%! Are they nuts?
I don't care how good they are, I'm not paying $7.25 for a hotdog.
I can understand even a 50 cent increase...but $1.25?
Correction to this post. The prices went up 30% to $6.50 and $7.50.

Think all prices include tax now too. Bigger buildings aren't free.

I know bigger buildings aren't free, but I don't feel the cost of that building should be in the form of raising your prices by 25%. And regardless of where they are located, $7.25 is too much for a hot dog.

Its 7.25 for one normal sized hot dog with nothing else?

A regular run of the mill hot dog weiner is $6.50 EACH.
If you get a bigger sausage, like polish or brat, it's $7.50.
That doesn't come with anything.
The fries are (were) $3 for plain, $3.50 for cheese fries. I'm not sure if they raised those.
So for a brat hot dog, cheese fries and a drink, you're looking at almost $15!

It is a pretty high jump, but I'll still eat there on occasion. They are awesome.

It was already pretty overpriced before this. 7.00 is ridiculous

I won't be going to this place.

That's plain ridiculous. You can get jumbo Hebrew Nats on sale for $5 for 6.

Damn, I'll still pay it, but that is for just the dog, then you have to buy a bottle coke which is $2.50 and if you want fries I think they are also $2.50.
I like Company Burger's Hot Dog better, but if I am craving Sausage with insane toppings I go to Dat Dog.

Went there the other day and ordered 2 beef dogs and a chili cheese fries. $19
That is a little much for the amount of food, but not enough to stop me from going. I was dissapointed that the food wasn't as good as when it was across the street.
Company Burger aint cheap either, but its getting better each time i go.

I'd rather Company Burger anyway

I will be interested to see how this plays out from an economic perspective.

Tried to go for lunch on Sunday. They open at noon. Got there at 12:08 and the line was 35-40 deep. Isn't hurting business. Went down the street to Company Burger instead of waiting.
