I do not have an opinion either way. However, my son who is big into eating wings says flats by far. Couple of years ago he hit me up with the same question. I had no idea what he was talking about. Never in my life have I heard of a flat. When I cook them I cook both either grilled or broiled.

Long time ago when I didn’t know what to call them I would order “double boners”.

I am shocked at the number of people who love flats. I am a drum guy all the way. I used to feel guilty at a tailgate taking only drums and would take some flats just to be polite. Now I just dive in on the drums with no worries.

Flats, the only time I want a drum is if its attached to the flat as a whole wing.

I'll agree with the 2 to 1 flats to drums ratio, but if I had to pick one, I'm going flats.

Was a drummette man for years. Then when the whole “wing” craze took off, i started liking the flats better.

I'm too much of a fatty to care.

Drums baby. I like that little chunk of breast meat on the end. Not enough meat in flats.

About the same to me

But my least favorite is a fatty/soft flat. I like them crisped and arguably overcooked.

I don't think i knew before this thread that the majority of people like flats...haha

I have always done drums more because they dunk into sauce easier IMO. I can slag them through sauce easily then into my mouth.

I need to research this meat umbrella thing now
