Chili can be somewhat controversial. Where do you stand on these ingredient being included in chili?

1. Beans? The obvious and most controversial. Yes or No?
2. Corn? Yes or No?
3. Dark chocolate? Yes or No?
4. A stout beer? Yes or No?
5. Cinnamon? Yes or No?

Big nope

2. Corn? Yes or No?

Big nope

3. Dark chocolate? Yes or No?

Big yes.

4. A stout beer? Yes or No?

Never done it but it sounds interesting. I have used a cup of black coffee a few times before and it's nice. I could see a stout doing something similar

5. Cinnamon? Yes or No?

This intrigues me a bit.

You forgot to ask about ground meat or chunks of meat. Tomato products or no? Those questions will really get some folks going.

Go to a Latin market for some good chilis and little chocalate discs with cinnamon. I use Bohemia or Negro Modelo but will try stout. No corn for me and I can go either way with beans.

Beer and beans - yes. The rest - no. Also prefer stew meat over ground beef and occasionally add a little smoked brisket.

Yes, unless it for hot dogs. If anything it stretches it out and when I make chill I eat it for a week

If I am doing stew meat than I don’t add beans

2. Corn? Yes or No?

I would eat it but I am putting it in

beans or no beans depends on what you like and dont like

i like it when made both ways but i always make mine with beans

a jar of sliced jalapenos is a definite good option to add unless cooking for sissies

everything else on that list never goes near my chili

1. Beans? Yes, I like a mix of pinto and black. But if it is chili for hot dogs, then no beans.
2. Corn? No, but I would eat it if someone put it in theirs.
3. Dark chocolate? No, but I have dabbled in the past.
4. A stout beer? Yes
5. Cinnamon? No, but I would try it.

1. Hell no. Beans are a filler. Use them if you want to show your guests you don't care about food and just want to feed them cheaply.
2. No. Never had it nor heard of it. But, maybe if it's roasted.
3. Yes
4. Yes
