Anybody else chuckle when people refer to Chick Fil A’s iconic chicken sandwich as a “chicken burger”? To me, “burger” implies ground meat (usually beef).

I had always thought this was a redneck thing or an educated thing, but then our realtor in Portland dropped the “chicken burger” phrase on me and I was really surprised - she is def not a redneck.

I’ve never in my life heard someone refer to the CFA sandwich as a burger.

That's as absurd as saying pork chop burger.

It's a pork chop sandwich.

I'm in South Korea right now.

Every restaurant here that serves a chicken sandwich calls it a burger.

It's weird.

A chicken burger uses a ground chicken patty, like the moonie chicken burger at Bergeron’s. Chik-fil-a uses a whole chicken breast, so not a burger.

When I am scuba diving in Utila, Honduras, there is a restaurant on the island that calls their fish on a bun a "fish burger". At first I thought it would be ground up fish on a bun, but it is a tuna filet.
Never heard of anyone call Chic Fila sandwich a "chicken burger".
