we rode Bonaparte on saturday night and drove home to Houston on Sunday

we stopped at Kartchner’s in Scott for a coke, cracklins and boudin

when I walked up this guy was cooking bologna on a Fire Disk, and we stopped to talk to him

very nice guy and this bologna was incredible

here is his website

quote:

100% Butthole Free Bologna
Bougie Bologna is Premium 100% Butthole Free Bologna
Based out of Lafayette, LA
#bougiebologna #bougiebustle

that is him with the beard. turns out he is a cementing hand for Halliburton GOM and doing this on the side.

His IG

we bought a pack of it in kartchner’s and I pan fried some today for lunch on white bread. it was really really good. look for it in your freezer section and try it out

I've been seeing this all over Facebook in the past week or so. I follow Kartchner's so I guess that's why I keep seeing it. It looks like quality bologna.

It isnt expensive relative to good bologna at a deli - about $10 for a pound. But it was so good it was worth it.

It's not Bougie if it's got soybean oil in it.

He’s got Comeaux’s producing it. Creative idea, but I cannot fathom this product being popular enough to be profitable. Also, is it sold frozen?

Maybe he will prove me wrong.

Since they skin the pig, I would assume all bologna is butt hole free.

What a coincidence. I went to Fresh Pickins on K Saloom on Friday to get a few things, and people are in there raving about this Bougie Bologna guy. They say he's coming tomorrow, Saturday at 10 am to showcase his wares.
I show up on Sat morning and he's cooking up his bologna in a fire disc (per supah), looking just like that in his hat, proclaiming the benefits of his butthole free, pork shoulder-only bologna.

I agree.....his bologna was indeed incredible, the best I've ever had, but it was still bologna: a bit salty and fatty, everything we love about bologna, right?, but it is what it is. I will try the bologna bites in a breakfast hash one of these days. Good stuff.

The boxes of boneless pork rectums made me wonder: Are there bone-in pork rectums?

What if pork rectums are what makes bologna the bologniest?

I usually get beef bologna. I hope those assholes don’t over anal-ize that!

We stopped Sunday as well on our way back from from Endymion in NOLA the night before. I tried one from his table. Was quite tasty.

Didn’t buy any, though. Kind of regret it. Would probably make a great cold cut sandwich with some ham, salami and mustard.
