Does anyone know the results of the boudin cookoff in Lafayette yesterday. I went but didn’t stay to hear results. I didn’t have all of them but my favorite was Kartchners. TIA.

It's kind of crazy that they didn't post the results on their website or Facebook.

Is the contest about making the best boudin or about making the best recipes using boudin? I recently found a market that sells boudin but other than just eating it straight, making boudin balls, or mixing it with scrambled eggs, I’m not sure what else to do with it.

I’m not buying those results. Must’ve been some skinny Jean latte sipping hipsters voting.

It's worth noting that Joel Barrios, of Bayou Boys, is from Larose, LA. So he's an actual, legit bayou boy.

bouDAIN

Boo-Dane is obviously a Texas thing. Not implying the winner couldn't cook, but at least get the name right and respect "boudin" based on it's actual French spelling.

Imagine a Coon-arse from Breaux Bridge, entering a BBQ competition in Austin, Texas with a name like "Thibodeaux's Cajun Smoked Brizcuit"
