What are some different Bloody Mary mixes out there? Not talking Zing Zang, Pat O’s Tony’s……looking something different. Any ones at farmers markets?

You could always make your own using V-8 Original juice in the 46 oz. can.

I'll add Celery Salt, Hot Sauce, Horseradish, Worcestershire Sauce, Salt, Black Pepper and fresh squeezed lemon juice to make my mix.

This is what I use when hosting parties and have never had anyone complain. After the drink is mixed, I'll add some of my pickled okra spears and green beans I put up from my garden.

My wife makes the best I've ever had. I can't tell you the measeurments because we don't measure much here
The ingreidents are:
Tomato juice
Worchesterchire
Celery salt
Pickle juice
Hot sauce
Onion powder
Olive juice

The juices are splashes. Adjust according to your palate

It’s probably more work than that what you’re interested in, but Jeffrey Morgenthaler.’s recipe is my favorite.

All-Day Bloody Mary Mix
150 grams water
150 grams fresh lemon juice, strained of pulp
150 grams Worcestershire (Lea and Perrins)
6 grams (roughly 1 rounded teaspoon) citric acid
4 grams (roughly 1 teaspoon) Tabasco
2 grams (roughly ½ rounded teaspoon) celery salt
2 grams (roughly ½ rounded teaspoon) finely ground black pepper
1.5 grams (roughly ¼ rounded teaspoon) MSG
Combine ingredients in a quart-sized container and mix well.
Cover with a lid and refrigerate for at least one hour, or for up to two days.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer (nut milk) bag.
Makes approximately 1 pint (500 ml), lasts nearly forever.

All-Day Bloody Mary
1½ oz (45 ml) vodka
2 oz (60 ml) All-Day Bloody Mary Mix
2 oz (60 ml) tomato juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Roll gently and vigorously to combine and chill.
Pour into a pint-sized glass rimmed with salt and cracked black pepper.
Garnish with a lemon wedge and dill pickle spear.

Tabasco brand with wicked pickles okra.
Add garlic stuffed olives soaked in triple sec and hot sauce.
Dash of L&P.

Their hot sauce is very good too. If you can find the hot sauce, you can make your own Bloody mix.

This Demitri's concentrated mixhas a lot of good reviews on Amazon. Just add tomato juice. I've never tried, but I just ordered a bottle.

I have had Agalima several times and it's good. Definitely a step above Zing Zang, but I still doctor it up a little.

If you’re around BR, The Cocktail Experiment is pretty good. It’s probably my favorite to use.

Gator Blood

Super chunky and fresh. They had a vendor at Calvin's a couple of years ago letting people try and it was the best I've ever had.

Master of Mixers makes a 5-Peppers one that is really good! Most stores like Albertson's & Rouses usually has it. It's thinner, and has little pieces of the peppers in it so it does have a good bit of spice.

Zing Zang is trash, for years I just thought I didn't like bloody mary's but couldn't understand how I did not like it since I liked all the cocktail ingredients. Once I branched out to different mixes, it became clear Zing Zang was the problem!

Bloody Mary mix is just seasoned tomato juice resold for like 5x the price. If you want a good one, the best thing to do is just buy good tomato juice and find a seasoning blend you like.

A lot of people will also make it thicker with like a gazpacho soup type of recipe. Which I also like.
