Phil's Marina Cafe' in Slidell. Great food, good prices, large portions.
Believe it or not, Mandina's on Canal St. has a good one too.
Also can't beat your basic place in "Da' Parish" with Rocky & Carlos seafood dinners. Fried to perfection, large portions, fair pricing.

Had Mike Anderson's Broiled platter two weeks ago. Very disappointed - too much bread and very little seafood in the stuffed items. One of the shrimp dishes was very good (forgot which one) the other one and the fish were over cooked.

Frank Brigtsen’s Shell Beach Diet. It’s not a traditional old school fried seafood platter, but it’s enough of an homage to them that I feel safe adding it here - also because I find the “traditional” can too often be too much of the same thing.

The broiled seafood platter at Mike Andersons is amazing and I wish it had copycats at other restaurants. So dakn good

Hate to say it, but I agree. Had it a couple months ago. The shrimp were like rubber. Some of the other dishes were ordered were very good, though.

Both closed now, but Oyster Reef on Pinhook in Lafayette and Evangeline Seafood & Steakhouse on 90 in Lafayette had awesome fried seafood platters.
Bayou Boys in Needville, Texas (the owner is from Larose/Lockport area) is loaded with delicious catfish, shrimp and oysters.
I also used to enjoy the seafood platter at Sphar’s.
