Just curious what the board’s opinion is for the best roast beef poboy in NOLA these days. We’re bringing a couple friends to Louisiana for the first time and they’re looking forward to eating a lot of great food.

TIA.

If I had to target one place for a hit and run it would be R&O’s

Roast Beef at R&Os is my easy choice.
If you want a fried shrimp, the race is wide open. It’s not hard to do a good shrimp one

I'm also an R&Os fan. The menu is huge, so there are other good offerings as well.

I love Bear's, but I haven't been to the one in Metairie.

Has Parkway changed their roast beef recipe? Was there last weekend and the roast beef poboy was rather blank and disappointing. Not nearly as good as it used to be.

R&O's. Beefier. Different cut of meat.

Take them to R&O’s, Parkway, and Rocky & Carlo’s and see what they think

Parkway has always had a bland roast beef poboy.
I don’t understand why they make it that way

R&O’s roast beef.

Shrimp remoulade and fried green tomatoes at crabby Jack’s is #2.

I like Frady's in the Bywater. It's also less than $10.

World Deli skimps way too much on the meat. It's good flavor though.

For a roast beef po boy, nothing comes close to R n’ O’s.
