Daiwa in marrero is solid haven’t been to the new upscale one in Metairie. Also Banana Blossom in Gretna is really good. Heard he’s opening another Thai location spot on magazine with BRG group.

Gendusa's in Kenner. Delicious Italian food and some of the best pizza in town. Since they don't have a liquor license , you can bring your own wine.

10 years ago I would have said the Munch factory.

It's become more well known since then. The original in gentilly was great

Very good place. I'd add Barrow's.

I don't know why I never think of this place. I've had some good meals there, but it's been at least five years since I've been.

No atmosphere but Falafel King in Kenner is amazing. For $10 you get a combo with your choice of meat, salad, delicious basmati rice, and Hummus. All of the meats are fresh and delicious.

They have lamb and kabob combos too.

the Baba ghanoush is off the charts good.

finally, the pita bread is unreal. Soft and almost crepe like.

I love my lil Falafel King. Friendly, family run spot. That bread is handmade by the family's mama. I keep angling for an invitation to make bread with her, but no dice. I feel like it would take me eating lunch there 2x a week for a year or so.

Not sure how little known it is or not, but ADOLFO'S is my clear winner. I don't see it get talked about here, nor do I hear people around town mention it. It's always busy though, so I guess it's more known that I am aware of.

Cafe Dauphine
Fiorella Gentilly Cafe
A small pizza place in the former One Shell Square. Hint don't buy the pizza but the chicken sandwich. Great bargain for $5.
