Just off I-49 in Frierson. I think the hours these days are 11-3 Thur-Sat. Thursday is ribeye day. The owner has said that several regulars told him they wouldn't come back if he ever painted the building.

Has anyone tried The Ugly Café in Lecompte? It's truly ugly.

Lyman Whites Soul Food buffet many years ago. Watched a roach crawl across the wall across the dining room. Shrugged and kept eating.

I’ve eaten there. Popular spot to stop in way back from the beach. Shell station I believe but it doesn’t look like one.

Attended an awesome pig roast at a trailer park near New Roads once.

Huge jumbo fried shrimp at the corner store on Monterrey and Choctaw Drive here in Baton Rouge.
Serious question.
Are the shrimp that good that it is worth the risk of life?

Anthony's Italian Deli... old location when Anthony ran it. I had just moved to BTR and coworker took me. I was concerned pulling to the back of a mostly abandoned strip mall off Florida Blvd. Tables and decor hadnt been touched in 20 years. The floors were nasty and I dont think it had been cleaned or dusted in years. I had never had hot pressed muffulletas.
