I've tried Basil Hayden's and like it. I really like Woodford Reserve the best of the limited bourbons I have tried. Blanton's will definitely be next on my list to try

Bulleit Rye
Old Jefferson
Pogue
Buffalo Trace

These two are currently in rotation.

Using the Pogue for the sipper and Trace as the mixer.

BTW, if you have not done a bourbon with a GOOD Ginger Ale, then you're missing out. I was recently turned on to this - and I love it.

Most bourbons are under $50, so it really depends on what you like. Wheated? higher rye profile?, higher proof?

Old Charter 8. Not quite as smooth as your Blanton's and Woodfords, but you can get a handleless handle and a fifth for sub 50 clams. You can get thrice as snockered for the same money.

Tried woodford and absolutely hayed it. Passed it to two buddies there and they were of same opinion. Reminded me of lighter fluid.

Sure it was Woodford and not Kingsford?

This one makes a mean Manhattan - 120 proof. Under $40.

Blanton's is one of the best all around bourbon's for just under $50, but there are a bunch of good ones under $50 and it just depends on your tastes.

Have you tried either Elmer T Lee or Rock Hill Farms. They both also come from the Buffalo Trace Distillery and are both made from the same mash bill as Blanton's (mash bill number 2 <- yes, they're very creative, ha ha). Supposedly the Elmer T Lee is likely the youngest of the 3 and is a damn good buy at under $30. It has become one of my go to everyday bourbons along with Eagle Rare (also Buffalo Trace product). The Rock Hill Farms is supposedly the oldest one of the 3. It is bottled at higher proof (around 105 if I remember right) and it is a solid buy as well. usually around the same price as Blanton's. Just fyi
