Need some boudin before this weekend and don't have time to drive to Lafayette so I figured my next best bet would be BR. Am I right in that assumption? If so, what's the best place to get it?

ETA: Or would I do just as well buying it from the Butcher Block or Chris's Specialty Meats in NOLA?

Best in BR is Jerry Lees or Ronnies, not near as good as driving to Scott, but best we got

Jerry Lee's on Greenwell Springs Rd. Grab some Hog Head Cheese while you are there.

Why the hell is #1 in Hammond when the Baton Rouge store opened before?

Ronnie's for smoked boudin. Jerry Lee's if you want to grill it (definitely get some Hog Head Cheese while you're there, too).

you should call ronnies before you drive up...sometimes they are out of the smoked boudin and that is definitely what you want to get there

ronnies head cheese is also very good

Their balls are real good. I also enjoy their meat pies...which to me is north La thing, theirs are legit.

If you want to make it easy and stay around the SBR area, Chris' Specialty Meats has pretty good boudin.

Ronnie's # 1 was in Opelousas

Ronnie's has been sold a few times over the years. Hammond is new compared to the others.
