Banana Pudding - Serve Fresh or Refrigerate Overnight?

I prefer banana pudding refrigerated overnight. The Nilla Wafers get soft and combine with the pudding.
What is the consensus of the board?

The complete opposite of whatever your opinion is.
ETA I prefer my banana pudding deconstructed

Just made some this week for my son’s 16th, wife wouldn’t let me have any until it refrigerated overnight.

Why so angry dude? All you ever do is put me down. Grow up, the act is old now. Maybe go get laid or something.

I prefer it the next day.

Overnight is optimal for me

yes this is better, and it makes the banana flavor stronger as it has time to saturate the pudding
plus, cold pudding is 100x better then fresh made warm or at room temperature

Relative uses these instead of the wafers and it's infinitely better.
Refrigerate before serving.

Refrigerate before serving.

Swap nilla wafers for nutter butters, refrigerate overnight. Win

Little lady around the corner makes hers with Chessmen and tops with meringue instead of whipped cream. It's a pleasant departure from traditional Nilla wafer banana pudding.

Me too. I don’t like smushy Nilla Wafers. But since everyone else does, I just make an extra little bitty bowl without the cookies. Win win.

I had a BP made with Oreos once. Not bad, not bad at all. I imagine the yellow Oreos would work as well.

I like my wafers a little soggy, so next day for me

Refrigerated for a few hours, but not overnight.

Some desserts are better served cold, and banana pudding is one of them.

The Donald Link recipe using home made vanilla wafers and using real vanilla beans is the absolute best banana pudding in the world, and probably my favorite dessert in general as well.
