Dude, you're going to have to give more detail than this

Type of food?
Vibe?
Price point?
Location in city?

Price point doesn’t really matter. It’s a business trip so will be 3 of us. All guys. Scenery would be nice.

One night want Italian.

Open to anything though, really.

If you want to see some history. Try Sparks. Famous mob rubout took place there. Ambiance is something out of Goodfellas and the steaks are legit.

We did Marea for Italian last month. It was great. Also went to L’Appart for the first time. Very, very good.

Walk down the street to Ear Inn at some point and get a drink. Not many places like that left in the city.

For Italian look into Rezdora. Do the full pasta tasting.

Gramercy Tavern is always a solid choice.

Pizza Suprema for a slice, maybe at lunch. Bar wise, In the area of your hotel is Blind Tiger, a great craft beer bar, d.b.a, Peculia Pub and Barrows Ale House.

Went to NYC last month. Carbone and Carmines both were great. Carbone might be the best restaurant i've ever been to. but insanely hard to get reservations.

Carmines and River Cafe. Reserve table at River Cafe just before sunset. Great views of skyline from across the East River

If you don't try the Clam Chowder at The Grand Central Oyster Bar your trip is a failure.

After...visit Rudy's bar (midtown) for cheap drinks and free hot dogs.

Sounds like a steakhouse. Can't go wrong with Peter Luger's. Probably won't get a reservation though.

We did Carmines and Del Frisco one time.

Another we did Club A and some hole in wall, small Italian places that were amazing.

Club A > Del Frisco but both were really good.

If you're staying at the Dominick there are some great Italian restaurants within walking distance: Rubirosa, L'Artusi, I Sodi, Locanda Verde. Locanda Verde and its sister restaurant The Dutch, also in the neighborhood, are good for scenery. Also King is a couple of blocks from you. It's a small place and highly menu dependent, but I've had some great meals there (I mean the menu changes daily, sometimes it's a bunch of great stuff, sometimes it's less interesting). The staff is almost all female and the chef owner Clare De Boer is hot. It's unlikely she'll be there though since she has another restaurant in Westchester and I think she lives there now.

Anticipating complaints about pics here's Clare:

I ate there last month and it was a massive disappointment. Steak was not good quality and did not have much flavor. Sides were meh. Our server seemed completely disinterested. The highlight of the meal was the cheesecake, which I think they don’t even make in-house.

I will second the recommendation for Pizza Suprema though.
