I usually find myself pretty eloquent, but I am speechless. So for now all I can feel is disbelief, disappointment and fear. So Trump is going to be our president.... I'm still processing. However I will take this as four years that will test my ability to love and respect anybody regardless of their views, since what we need now more than ever is love and unity. #loveconquersall #hewillneverspeakforme #staystrong #youareloved #dumbledoresarmy

This one is long but glorious!
I'm so angry. I'm so angry and so upset you would think it's the eighth inning of the World Series on repeat over and over again. I've cried at least five times. And here's the thing: it's not because I'm a sore loser. I've been of the proper age to vote for three elections now. I would have been disappointed had my candidate lost in all three. But this is different. This isn't about disappointment in a loss. This isn't about losing at all. It has almost nothing to do with political leanings. It's not about voting blue or red. It's about the fact that you, America, are electing an a-hole. You are electing a narcissistic, completely politically incompetent, never stood up for anyone but himself in his ENTIRE LIFE, A S S H O L E. And yet, even this alone isn't why I'm crying. I'm crying because you let an a-hole win you over through hate. Because I've always been proud to be an American, even when I see its short-comings, because I always believed we were good. We chose hope and love and freedom. But that's not true, is it? We choose selfishness. We choose to only look at ourselves and to hear what we want. We, time and time again, as humans, let our fellow humans down. You have let a man become the most powerful man in our country via hate. Via fear-mongering. Via bullying. Via a complete disregard for those who do not share his race, sex, or religion. And you have stood behind this deplorable excuse for a man and quoted Christian values. I am infuriated. I am depressed. I simply do not understand. I hope he does amazingly, because God help us if he remains himself, but I will not apologize for this. Because no matter what, I am fricking ashamed. Seriously. Shame on us. We were supposed to be better. How did we ever get so lost?

"Really Brady, because since Obama took office the economy has added 10 million more jobs, the average workers weekly paycheck and buying power is up 4%, the number of immigrants caught crossing the border has dropped 52%, corporate profits are soaring at 152%, and the number of people lacking health insurance has gone down by 15 million. But those are just some actual facts. What do I know? I woke up angry. As did millions. We just need to channel this into something positive and come together."

I haven't looked at FB in over 6 months.
Not sure ifs the fact I'm a Gen X'er or my FB friends tend to have many of same political views or a combination of those 2 things, But what I saw by checking FB for a few minutes were very few political posts.

EDUCATION: it has never been so abundantly clear and painfully obvious that we need to invest in education.
Why? Because the great, unwashed, masses w/o college degrees who actually make this country work did not fall for Hillary?

As a young girl I was told I could be anything I wanted to be but taught I had to be pretty.
My gay friends were told what really matters is what kind of person they became but taught they wouldn't be considered a person if their relationships weren't heteronormative.
My black friends were told they had the same rights as anyone else but taught the police didn't recognize those rights.
My immigrant friends were told they would be welcome in this country but taught we didn't want them here.
My Muslim friends were told they would be free to practice their religion but taught we're a Christians only nation.
I guess America thinks we're all old enough now to give it to us straight. Thanks for not making us read between the lines anymore. We hear you loud and clear.
More ridiculous histrionics

So I get the job of explaining to my soon to be 13 year old that her Muslim, Hispanic, Black, LGBTQ friends will not be shipped away or murdfered tomorrow. Yeah. That's always fun. She's an emotional wreck - As am I baby, as am I.
And who's fricking fault is it that this 12 year old has these irrational and ridiculous fears? Surely her parents didn't instill any of these ridiculous and unfounded thoughts in her head?

My only political statement! .........I am not a second class citizen, I'm a gay man living in this country who deserves equal rights! Trump is disgusting, he thinks of me (a proud gay man!) and so many other respectable Americans as second class citizens! I have zero tolerance for people who think differently! I am a proud gay man (**** as the deplorables would say) and come for me I dare you on the holy SPEARit !!! (Insert tongue pop)

Where do people get this idea that Trump hates gays?
I can see how people get it with blacks and mexicans.
But gays?
And for frick sake Hillary never supported gays until it was politically convenient to do so.

And one last thing, the last time the Republicans had control of everything was 1928. The year 1929 began the Great Depression. There is no balance!!
In addition to that, they will start wars just for oil rights. Marinate on that for a second. They are already taking private land from the Indians in our own country.
And about this welfare reform, Obamacare (which some I oppose) Foodstamps program, Wic programs will be the 1st to go. So to all the people making less than 40g annually. Baby you are Poor, no matter the color.
