Sums up their mentality perfectly. Upset your free shite is decreasing and need to get a job now? Welcome to the real world those of us that have jobs we like are fortunate bc MOST PEOPLE WORK OUT OF NEED.

I feel stunned and heartbroken. I voted not only for my own future yesterday, but for the future of our child. The fact that our nation's leader will soon be a hateful, misogynistic, racist bigot- and that the first years of my child's life will be spent under his power- scare, sicken, and sadden me. Like many others, I feel deeply ashamed of my fellow Americans that allowed this to happen. Trump's America will never be my reality. My child will be taught respect, love, kindness, and work ethic- qualities that should still stand for something in this country and values that only one of the candidates in this election represented. As a woman, teacher, and soon-to-be mother, I am so incredibly disappointed.

Right now, I'm very angry. And scared.
My nieces can not grow up with him.
I really believed there wasn't a question in this.
I'm baffled.
I'm angry with the people who didn't vote.
I'm angry. I blame ignorant people. I hate to be filled with anger, but it's real.
YOU made a huge mistake. YOU contributed to some insane, egotistical, a-hole even THINKING he can be a leader.
*I rode in an uber tonight to watch the first woman become president. I was excited. An Armenian man was the driver and spoke very highly of the United States. I asked if he had voted. He said he couldn't because he wasn't a citizen yet. He was lovely. Filled with hope and love.
He said the U.S. was the best country he has ever been. "Every country is corrupt, however the United States is the best."
Our country is founded on hard work and equal opportunity. He ADVOCATED for this country. Dammit.
The people who didn't vote and/or chose to be ignorant during this election have let him down. Let my nieces down. Let everyone down. Sorry for the dramatics, but frick you.

JOBS: if you or anyone you know is worried about job security due to the certain economic instability we are now facing, I promise I will do my best to help. List me as a reference on applications, and/or let me know if I can help you in any way.

Look out for one another, do what you can, and lift each other up.

Smile at strangers, support small business, SPEAK UP to injustice.

Let me sum this up:

"WAAAAAHHH!!! NOW WE GOTTA GET OFF OUR LAZY ASSES AND GO GET A JOB AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING BESIDES LIVE OFF THE GOVT AND WHINE ABOUT CHRISTIANS!!! WAAAAH!!!"

That is mostly what I'm seeing.

I think the first stage of grief is denial, right? But before we all move through that stage, can someone- anyone- please explain how and why the polling was completely wrong? It was outside of the margin of error. Not just in one poll, but in almost every single poll, over the course of months, both in swing states and nationally. A few hours ago, the Trump campaign thought it'd take a miracle for them to win. I am trying to make sense of this, but nothing seems to add up. I have a very, very hard time believing that everyone's polls were so off; it seems implausible to me, and I absolutely loathe conspiracy theories. PS: Just now, Vladimir Putin and the Russian Parliament sent out a warm note of congratulations to President-elect Trump.

My lesbian cousin's wife posted something shocking...

It is a new day and we all must work together .... this country is an amazing country.... and just like last night showed... it is THE PEOPLE that make the decisions in America, not the politicians. If you are worried about your freedoms, remember that we have the rights we have because THE PEOPLE spoke. No ONE can take away the rights we currently have. Let's all take a breathe and realize that this country will continue to be as we THE PEOPLE want it to be. #myonepoliticalnonpoliticalrant Now let's carry on with some dignity.

America...What the frick just happened! Was it the fact that the Democratic Party decided to run a weak, vulnerable candidate in a seemingly easy-to-win election as a result of "grand bargain" from 8 years ago? Was it a direct result of arrogance and hubris among the entire Clinton Family? Was it the fact that the FBI, one of the nation's most important police forces, decided that it should influence a political race, based on information that was not thoroughly vetted, just a week before an election? Was it the fact that we are a nation that cannot rid itself of misogyny and racism?

His largest groups of supporters have nothing to gain. The disenfranchised, old, and white factory worker is not getting his job back or getting a better pension. The evangelical is not getting a man who lives by a single teaching of the bible.

Other than personal loss, this is one of the sadder moments of my life. America is my homeland. America is a place that I love. This is not good.

America just elected a man whose closest advisors do not trust him to run his own twitter account. This man is now the leader of the most powerful country in the world.

Horrified. Can't wait until I'm done with medical school and can leave to work for people who will actually appreciate it.

EDIT: This man is going to be president through my medical school career. I'm so afraid of what that means for my future. There are SO MANY questions floating through my head right now.

FYI: anything antagonistic about this election posted on my wall will be instantly removed. This election is completely against everything Jesus stood for, thus I will not stand for it. The next 4 years will be playing catch up concerning Christ's place in the United States. #Still #LoveTrumpsHate

quote:

Good God, I just heard the words "the next president of the United States, Donald Trump" for the first time. I'm sick.

quote:

From the first black President to the apparently least inclusive white man, from the greatest First Lady to grace the halls of the White House to an empty and superficial fashion model (I hereby posit that Michelle was the best thing about the Obama administration), from progressiveness to setting ourselves back decades as a country... Way to go, America.

Needless to say, I'm basking in the glow of this glorious melt.

"Whether you agree with Hillary’s politics or not, she represents something beautiful and all too rare: a woman choosing to say 'No thank you' to societal expectations. A woman who gets up when she’s been knocked down, attacked for not just her politics but her marriage and her body. A woman attempting to claim a historically male space and saying, without a trace of apology, 'I can do this, and I deserve this.'" -Lena Dunham

THANK YOU HILLARY.
