Parkway's roast beef poboy can't touch R&O's

Sorry.

Roast beef and gravy at R&O's are far better, and while Parkway's bread is better overall, it's inferior for roast beef since the bottom is already soggy when it comes out. R&O's bread holds up much better in this regard

Order a side of fried shrimp at R&O's and make your own surf & turf - best poboy you're gonna get in the city

Just had a R&O roast beef Sunday and it was as always fantastic. I personally like R&O's bread and roast beef over parkway. But, wife and kids all like parkway better .

Both are great in my opinion though.

I'm with you on this one. I love Parkway's seafood poboys but their RB lacks seasoning.

I think this is a pretty common sentiment here.

it may be, I didn't really follow the poboy wars until I was able to sample all of the big names on NOLA visits. I just know that in my personal experience with word of mouth recs, everyone swears by Parkway the most

Agreed. R&O’s special with a crawfish pie FTW

R&O is my favorite roast beef. I get shrimp at Parkway.

Correct. Parkway RB is bland.

those are strong words my friend

The "Cure" at Bevi is tough to beat... Bourdain special at Domilise's... the Peacemaker or chicken liver poboy at Mahony's...

I love R&Os and Parkway and they each have their place. Parkways shrimp beats R&Os shrimp more than R&Os roast beef beats Parkways roast beef if that makes sense.

R&Os has a better Bloody Mary.

Both places are great.

I'll have to try a Parkway shrimp as I've only had them on the surf & turf. I think R&O's shrimp are perfect though, fried exactly how I like

Parkway’s isn’t as good as Johnny’s either. Parkway’s roast beef is sorta bland, imo. Don’t get me wrong, it’s in the top tier, but it’s not the number 1. There are better roast beef w/dubris po’boys out there. R&O’s and Johnny’s are probably my two favorites.

Definitely not the OM location. Their quality and consistency has been struggling for at least a year now.

Sorry to hijack thread but does anyone know of parkway is doing their thanksgiving poboy this yr? I don’t see anything ab it online. It’s usually a big thing every yr where you can only get it on wednesdays in the month of November

I’m a Verti Marte fan. Didn’t really like Parkway as much as everyone praised it, shrimp or RB. I had R&Os shrimp and wasn’t impressed, guess I need to go back and try the roast beef.
