Black suits that are not a Tuxedo are trashy. Those shoes belong at a high school dance. Those belts are ridiculously cheap looking, get something made of full grain leather with a quality buckle.

I personally started wearing the travel suits from Jos A Bank. Their tailor SUCKS so get it fitted elsewhere unless you go bespoke. If I was still wearing suits daily for work I would probably go bespoke.

I think 60-70% of this would have been perfect. Put it in the back pocket and try again in a couple months

Love the JC Penney look.

Excellent pricing and selection, has been my go-to ever since Mervyn's closed.

I eschew the normal bland buckle for a something a little more stylish and classy.
You eschew the normal bland buckle for a something a lot more douchie.

Bespoke is going to be pricey for a daily rotation, but made to measure is a good sweet spot. For most people, saving bespoke for something like a tuxedo makes sense, though.

Have to say, not a fan of your choice of dress shoe at all.

That tie and shirt came as a package deal in a flat box with a clear top for $19.99 at the local JC Penny’s back in the 90’s.

This is the gayest that men's fashion has been since the days of knickers and powdered wigs.

Testosterone needs to make a comeback.

I wore a standard suit/tie while visiting a new church a couple of weeks ago, and I was the most dressed-up person there, including the pastor. Not a bad thing--it was just weird to be the only person wearing a jacket/tie.

My go-to is a vintage (U.S. made) Hart, Schaffner & Marx dark gray suit that's tailored to fit me and a white or blue dress shirt with complementary tie. Black dress shoes, black belt obviously.

Same style suit in either gray pinstripe or black with a white, purple, or black French cuff dress shirt paired with a vintage Rush Limbaugh tie for special (non-tux) occasions. Couple of navy suits in my closet haven't been worn in years--probably don't even fit me these days.
