I’m old fashioned. Brooks brothers suits, Allen Edmond dress shoes and Hugo Boss belts. MK belt is definitely not a good look…. I don’t think my cuff links or Rolex would take peoples eyes or minds off of how tacky that belt is, but I’m not a fashion guy…

Black suits, outside of a funeral, always makes me think “waiter/bar keep”. Monochromatic shirt/tie combo screams Sears shirt and tie in a box to me. But you do you. If you think you look sharp than the hell with everyone else.

personally started wearing the travel suits from Jos A Bank. Their tailor SUCKS so get it fitted elsewher

The tailoring for Jos A Banks is a localized thing so it may just the location you’re going to. Another location is at least worth a try.

It is still infinitely better than the grown men that think a button down dress shirt with jeans is attire suitable for a wedding.

I wore a coat and tie to the last 3 weddings and funerals I’ve attended among my friend group. I was the only one of us that at least attempted to dress nice. Maybe I have trashy friends, I guess that’s what it is. Oh well…

I can't remember the last wedding I attended. It's probably been over 10 years. Been to a number of funerals in the past 3 years or so though. I wear the only suit I own to those, just kind of a dark grey.

You have trashy friends.

With that said, full suit no tie has become my standard wedding attire, unless I know it’s more on the upscale side. Funerals still get a tie.

I don’t really do the suite thing anymore. I just put in black or blue slacks and find a matching jacket

a gentleman does not wear bling. a belt with initials is beyond gauche'

a gentleman wears things that are so understated that only another gentleman would recognize the quality.

I was thinking, why is this fig telling grown men about his wardrobe?

ETA, where can I get those Herman Munster shoes?

Black is a pauper's color. Only good for funerals.

I wear Brooks Brothers as well as some other lesser known pricier brands I find on sale at Nordstrom’s.

My shoes range from Allen’s to J&M.

Classic lines are preferred.
